Kristina Winiarski

Cello

Kristina Winiarski was born in Sweden in 1994, and began to play the cello at the age of six. She first studied with Professor Valter Dešpalj at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, and is currently studying at the Edsberg Chamber Music Institute in Stockholm, with Professor Torleif Thedéen and Mats Zetterqvist. Bengt Forsberg, Dora Schwarzberg and Anner Bylsma have also contributed to her musical education.

Kristina Winiarski made her debut as a soloist at the age of just eight. Since then, she has performed all over the world with various symphony orchestras, including the St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra, the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, the National Philharmonic of Maryland, and the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington D. C.

The young cellist is also a keen and active chamber musician, and a regular guest at various festivals throughout Europe, including the Podium Festival in Croatia, the FESTIVAL NEXT GENERATION Bad Ragaz in Switzerland, and the Festival Musethica in Spain. She is also a member of the ENSEMBLE ESPERANZA, which is made up of scholarship holders from the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein.

Kristina Winiarski holds scholarships from the Swedish Academy of Music and the Royal University of Music Stockholm. She also receives a scholarship from the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein.
