Manuel Escauriaza Martínez-Peñuela was born in Pamplona (Spain) in 1995, and received his first French horn lessons at the Conservatorio Profesional de música “Pablo Sarasate” there, from Daniel Mazarrota and Joanna Garwacka. At the age of 16 he was accepted for study with Professor Radovan Vlatkovic at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid. He has attended many masterclasses with renowned French horn players such as Radovan Vlatkovic, Sarah Willis, Timothy Jones, Rodolfo Epelde, Fergus McWilliam and Will Sanders. He also receives a scholarship from the International Music Academy in the Principality of Liechtenstein, where he participates in the intensive music weeks.
The young horn player has already worked with numerous orchestras and conductors, including Víctor Pablo Pérez, Pablo González, Antoni Ros Marbà, Gordan Nikolic and Frans Helmerson. He is also a member of the Quinteto Amadeus, directed by Professor Márta Gulyás.
