Eva Maria Morillo

Oboe

Eva Maria Morillo was born in Andalusia (Spain) in 1988. Her education as an oboist began at the age of eight in her native Spain, at the conservatories in Jaén and Córdoba. A scholarship from the Junta de Andalucía and the Ministry of Education and Culture enabled her to embark on an Erasmus programme to study with Professor Adrian Buzac in 2011, who now teaches her at the Vorarlberg Regional Conservatory. She is currently approaching the end of her IGP – Bachelor of Arts degree programme there.

The young musician has attended masterclasses with renowned oboists such as Salvador Barberá, José Antonio Masmano, René Martín, Nora Cismondi, Adrian Buzac, Günther Passin, Henrik Goldschmidt and Christoph Hartmann.

Eva Maria Morillo has gained orchestral experience as a member of the Andalusia Philharmonic Orchestra, the Baeza Symphony Orchestra, and the Symphony Orchestra of the Baeza Music Society “Real Circulo de la Amistad”. Additional orchestral experience has followed in Austria, as part of her study programme at the Vorarlberg Regional Conservatory, but also in Germany and Switzerland, as well as with the Vorarlberg Symphony Orchestra and the Vorarlberg Symphonic Wind Orchestra. Eva Maria Morillo is also an active chamber musician, and plays in an oboe trio at the Vorarlberg Regional Conservatory, in the “Viore” ensemble, in “Trio con Brio” and in the “Spanish Music Trio”, and has played as a soloist, for example in church services in Switzerland and Austria. She is currently a member of the ENSEMBLE ESPERANZA, which consists of scholarship holders from the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein.
